Ep 60: Plagiarism, the Art of Apologizing, and the Proper Way to Become an Educator

Apologizing takes a lot of humility, especially when done right and well. But a proper apology is the best path forward. In today's episode, I set out to talk about a formula for apologizing: acknowledge, validate, own, and expect nothing in return. But in needing a good example, I referred to a recent case of plagiarism in Refine... and well, it went from there! That said, we cover it all:

  • Recent and ongoing plagiarism

  • The impact it has and on who

  • Consequences and handling it

  • Ways I can and do support new educators

  • The right and the wrong way to engage in Facebook communities
